Percussion is the strongest major at the National School of Arts in Pleven, with traditions and excellent teachers. Most percussion students participate in international percussion competitions all over the world, have so far had over 450 concerts and more than 20 awards. The requested ABF grant will be used to purchase new percussion instruments for the school which will significantly improve the quality of education, will enable the school to host international festivals and competitions, and will open the doors for exchange programs and master classes. The new instruments will be presented and promoted at the second edition of the International Percussion Festival in Pleven.
