Improving English Language Training at Foreign Language Schools in Bulgaria
Тhe Bulgarian-American Commission for Educational Exchange Fulbright

USD 279,000

For a third year in a row, the program will contribute to the improvement of the quality of English language education at foreign language schools in Bulgaria. Twenty three young Americans will work at 23 language schools all over the country as English Teaching Assistants (ETAs). The Americans will teach or co-teach English to 8-12 grade students. Their classes will aim to improve the writing and speaking skills of the Bulgarians, introduce them to American and British literature, and involve them in discussions on a wide range of general topics. In addition, the teachers will be engaged in various extra-curricular activities, e.g. preparation for TOEFL and SAT, educational advising, creative projects, and volunteer work at NGOs.

We are performing technical maintenance on our website and the project database will not be accessible until 4 pm today.
