Modernizing the Teaching Practices at School

The project at Slaveikov Secondary school in Dobrich will modernize the teaching practices by expanding the application of new technologies and providing access to multimedia educational content. The ultimate goal is improving the quality of education. The project will renovate the two existing computer laboratories and will equip them with two 15-seat terminal computer classes. This contemporary IT solution will offer more opportunities for teaching by doing while the teacher will be able to monitor students’ performance. A new multipurpose hall will be established to meet the needs of the school for hosting big groups of people at one place. There will be 80 seats at the renovated premise, 30 of which are mobile. The hall will be equipped with a mobile virtual classroom with 30 tablets, interactive board and multimedia. The virtual classroom together with the appropriate software will lead to the application of real interactive methods of teaching. The project will also furnish 10 working stations at the current reading room of the school library to provide free Internet access for all students after classes. The teachers will get specialized training in order to adequately use the new equipment and software in their daily activities. The school will contribute additional BGN 57,698 to the project implementation.
