The project will provide access to new technologies and will modernize the teaching process at the school by establishing a Center for Integrating IT in Education. The Center will encompass 8 classrooms and the adjacent hallways. Four of the premises will be used by grades 1st - 4th and will be equipped with the appropriate hardware and software for the application of the new Envision system. It will allow each kid in the classroom to use its own optical mouse in order to participate in the assignments defined by the teacher. The other four classrooms will be used by the students at grades 5th - 7th and will be equipped with interactive white boards, computers, and multimedia. The new equipment will be installed after renovating and furnishing the premises in a way that creates environment stimulating students’ academic achievements. The adjacent hallways will offer open space for students’ communications during the breaks and after classes. The school will create a database of good practices in using electronic lessons and lessons applying the Envision system and will broadly publicize them. The project will end up with a national conference hosted by Ivan Rilski School to demonstrate the opportunities that the Center offers. The school will contribute additional BGN 25,000 to the project implementation.
