Development of a Software Engineering Management Training and Qualification Center (SEM TQ Center)
European Software Institute – Central and Eastern Europe

USD 110,000

This is the final phase of a project that piloted 17 courses of a master’s degree program in software management at six Bulgarian universities in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). The center-piece is the establishment of a Software Engineering Management Training and Qualification Center (SEM TQ Center) that will lead the development of IT professional qualification of Bulgarians both at academic (master program level) and intensive (executive level). Modern distance learning and tele-presence techniques will be piloted and adapted for multi-class trainings and workshops. The Center is modeled around an approach tested by CMU and will develop capacity to organize and manage students’ “Practicum” or “studio course” that allow real projects defined by the business to be developed by students as part of their advanced academic education. In order to cover the missing research and training aspects in information security, the TQ Center will encompass a Cyber Security Laboratory.

We are performing technical maintenance on our website and the project database will not be accessible until 4 pm today.
