For a fourth year in a row, the program will contribute to the improvement of the quality of English language education at foreign language schools in Bulgaria. Twenty-сеженyoung Americans will work at 27 language schools all over the country as English Teaching Assistants (ETAs). The Americans will teach or co-teach English to 8-12 grade students. Their classes will aim to improve the writing and speaking skills of the Bulgarians, introduce them to American and British literature, and involve them in discussions on a wide range of general topics. In addition, the teachers will be engaged in various extra-curricular activities, e.g. preparation for TOEFL and SAT, educational advising, creative projects, and volunteer work at NGOs.
