Local organizations from all over Bulgaria submit applications for projects related to the Bulgarian tradition (dance, songs, music, research, souvenir production, weaving, knitting, cooking, bread baking, kids games form the past, mummers. WCIF disburses small grants to the applicants selected by a jury, provides training, films the events and organizes local concerts. Living Heritage is presented to the audience with a large open-air festival in Sofia at the end of the program, where all participants perform on stage and sell their products.
