The 4th Annual National English Spelling Bee competition in Bulgaria is a continuation of the effort to support English language students and teachers in Bulgaria and to continue bringing excitement and motivation to the study of English. The competition has proven to be a successful educational tool for promoting English language improvement, expanded vocabulary acquisition, accurate word usage, and proper pronunciation in English. This year, the project will reach 5,500 students aged 9 -14 from 250 schools from around the country by organizing 250 local, 10 regional, and one national Spelling Bee competitions. In addition, the project will provide the 250 public schools with interactive classroom tools and educational resources, helping teachers to encourage and motivate students’ classroom participation and learning. The project will also include a summer camp for the 30 Spelling Bee finalists from around Bulgaria students and their teachers.
