The 26th National competition for young instrumentalists and singers “Svetoslav Obretenov” will be held in April 1-4 2014 in Provadia. The competition gives stage to students from music schools and workshops around the country, allowing them to touch base with their fellows and show their talents. As per the rules of the event, the contestants only perform music pieces of Bulgarian composers which popularizes cotemporary Bulgarian music. The instruments eligible to participate this year are piano, violin, viola, cello, bass, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, bassoon, tuba and vocals.
