The project will build on the Sofia Debate Association’s (SDA’s) initial, mostly volunteer, effort to create a network of debate clubs at high schools and universities around Bulgaria. The project will continue to establish debate clubs around the country, aiming at least 15 new clubs this year. To do that, the SDA team will train 30 new coaches and 200 debaters. The coaches will train an additional 800 students in debating. The program will support 15 regional competitions, which will build up to one National Debate Competition in English, one in Bulgarian, a National Debate Forum, and an International Competition for college students.
