This grant is to support the 27th edition of the International Ballet Competition (IBC) in Varna, July 15-30, 2016. In the past 26 editions, more than 2,600 dancers from 40 countries have participated. The dancers are divided into two age groups and compete at three rounds. At the end of the competition, there is a gala concert in the open air theater at the beach garden in Varna. This is the second year that ABF is involved in the project as it fits with our strategy to encourage local art organizations to develop their artistic potential and diversify ABF’s portfolio outside of Sofia. 162 participants from 36 countries enrolled for this year’s edition.
