In the past 3 years, with ABF’s support, the Center for Inclusive Education (CIE) has created the Bulgarian model for inclusive school and has piloted it in 5 Bulgarian schools. Going forward, ABF will support the Center for Inclusive Education to adapt the inclusive model to different types of schools, by working with 15 Bulgarian schools over the course of 3 years. CIE will continue to train teachers and teacher trainers, in order for the model to be sustainably disseminated. The program will continue to maintain and update the first Bulgarian online platform for teachers, parents, and professionals with useful information on special educational needs. The program will also continue to bring knowhow from some of the leading US institutions in the area of Special Educational Needs.
