Three Bulgarian high school math teams were invited to participate in the prestigious Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament (HMMT) this year. These are the teams of the Mathematics High School - Varna, Mathematics and Science High School – Burgas, and Sofia Math High School. ABF’s support made it possible for the teams and team-leaders from Varna and Burgas to attend the tournament. HMMT is a highly competitive annual mathematics competition for high schools students jointly run by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University. Only a very limited number of international school teams are invited to take part, which makes the invitation to the three Bulgarian teams particularly notable. The tournament involves 800 students with excellent track records from international math Olympiads and competitions.
