The requested grant is to fund Sonya Yoncheva and Domingo Hindoyan’s concert in Sofia in the beginning of April 2015. Sonya Yoncheva is a Bulgarian opera singer who is recently making a stunning career at the NY Metropolitan Opera. Conductor will be Domingo Hindoyan, a Venezuelan orchestra conductor. He is also increasingly gaining recognition as an outstanding opera conductor and from season 2013/14 was appointed as the first assistant to Daniel Barenboim at the Staatsoper Berlin. This will be the music event of the year and probably the only chance to have them both on stage in Bulgaria in the following years. The project is a great example of public-private partnership between ABF and Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra.
