The purpose of this grant is to foster U.S. – Bulgaria people-to-people exchange of knowledge and experience by enhancing the program of the international conference “Forestry: Bridge to the Future”, organized by the University of Forestry in Sofia on the occasion of celebrating the 90th anniversary of higher forestry education in Bulgaria, and inviting two eminent U.S. speakers - Prof. Kevin O’Hara from University of California, Berkeley, and Prof. James Allen from Northern Arizona University.
