Umberto Selmi and Francesco Fratto are experts in the National Rural Network of Italy, an government organization tasked with developing rural tourism in the country. Umberto is an expert in community program administration and communication and manages the Italian national agritourism portal. The son of farmers, Francesco has agriturismo in his blood. His family owns Santacinnara, a rural business in Calabria.
Umberto and Francesco visited Bulgaria in October and shared tips about offering unforgettable rural tourism experiences at a two-day training in Gabrovo organized by the America for Bulgaria Foundation in partnership with the Embassy of Italy in Bulgaria, the Italian Trade Agency, LocalFood.bg/Pendara Foundation, Devetaki Plateau Association, and tourism services provider Traventuria.
