Science with a Future 2: ABF Is Looking for Project Proposals in Science

The areas in focus in ABF’s Science with a Future 2 RFP are robotics, artificial intelligence, and new technologies.

The America for Bulgaria Foundation is launching a second edition of its Science with a Future request for proposals (RFP). Proposals can be in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, and new technologies. The new RFP is part of the Foundation’s Next 10 Program in support of ideas that matter in the next ten years.

The Foundation is looking for project proposals by researchers, scientists, and engineers aged 16–40 years, with an applied sciences background in the field of robotics, artificial intelligence, and new technologies. Projects must have a real and measurable effect on business and/or address existing problems of public interest, as well as have a high potential for practical implementation. The main goal of this RFP is to provide support for scientific projects and products in the early stage of development.

The approved projects will receive between 5,000 and 15,000 levs in funding.

Partners of the Foundation for the RFP are the European Software Institute – Center Eastern Europe, Sofia Tech Park, the Professional Association of Robotics and Automation, AI Cluster Bulgaria, and the British Council.

Applications will be accepted until 5 pm on April 15, 2021, through the RFP website: https://us4bg.org/bg/rfp-bet-robotics/.

Questions related to the RFP and requirements can be submitted to the email address indicated on the webpage no later than 2 pm on March 25. Answers will be provided during an informational webinar on Facebook. Details about the webinar will be uploaded on the webpage.

The America for Bulgaria Foundation launched its Next 10 Program in support of ideas that matter in the next 10 years at the end of 2020 with four requests for proposals worth 2 million levs. The aim of the Next 10 program is to fund project proposals of Bulgarian organizations and associations to support the strengthening of the private sector and related democratic institutions in the country.
