This grant is to support the eighth edition of Maryan Ballet Academy on August 4-18, 2018. The brainchild of the prima ballerina of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, Diliana Nikiforova, Maryan Ballet Academy has a strong educational element: it provides art-related extracurricular activities to students, supports talented young Bulgarians in the development of their artistic ability, and teaches audiences to appreciate quality art. Every year, around 40 participants enroll in the academy. Participants have classes every day and show off what they have learned in a final show at the end of the course.
