“Civic Involvement for More Appealing Neighborhoods in Sofia”

The project fosters greater civic involvement in the development and maintenance of the small neighborhoods in the big city where gardens, children playgrounds or sports facilities have been built for the benefit of all, but are being destroyed and maintained by virtually nobody. An open competition will be staged among informal civic groups for funding of up to USD 4,000. At least 24 of these groups will be awarded the possibility to implement ideas for developing and maintaining a concrete neighborhood under the condition that the money provided will be strictly earmarked to buying necessary materials and the work needed will be 100% voluntary.
