Fortissimo in Class is a program for education of children 9-10 year of age in music appreciation through making music lessons vivid and informative. A professional musician enters in a regular music lesson with his/her instrument, plays, teaches kids in music theory and the instrument’s structure, tells them interesting facts about composers and music. Each March, there will be a small concert by a chamber orchestra in the gym of each school and at the end of each school year a large concert in Bulgaria Hall is planned with all kids. In 2011-2012 school year, 10 Sofia schools with over 1,200 students will participate in the program.
