This is by far the only and most successful initiative to popularize translation in English and Bulgarian and to promote Bulgarian literature. Translated literature is a main prerequisite for establishing of a lasting cultural exchange. For literature as small as Bulgarian, it is very important for Bulgarian writers to be well translated and to get an opportunity to reach a larger market.
