This grant is to support the 28th edition of the International Ballet Competition in Varna on July 15-30, 2018. Known as the Ballet Olympiad, the first and most prestigious in the world, Varna International Ballet Competition brings together young talent from Europe, Asia, and the Americas, who compete in two age groups; an elite jury judges their choreographies. This year’s edition will feature 130 participants from 34 countries. Together, the past 27 competitions have attracted more than 2,700 dancers from 35 countries. The two-week competition and closing gala concert draw in an audience of about 20,000 people.
