American Optimism Meets Bulgarian Potential: America for Bulgaria Foundation Unveils New Identity

The America for Bulgaria Foundation, the largest philanthropic organization in Bulgaria, today introduced a new brand identity. The branding package includes a new logo and related visuals, a new tagline, and a new domain name.

Nancy Schiller, president and CEO of the America for Bulgaria Foundation, introduced the new branding at a conference in Sofia for more than 600 of the Foundation’s partners from 75 locations across Bulgaria. Mrs. Schiller also announced that since its founding in 2009 the Foundation has invested $186 million in support of Bulgaria’s potential.

“Our new brand identity captures the unique partnership between our two countries, best exemplified by our new tagline ‘American Optimism Meets Bulgarian Potential.”, Mrs. Schiller said. “It also reflects our long-term commitment to Bulgaria as we plan to continue investing about $20 million per year in donations that benefit the Bulgarian people,” she added.

In the past 8 years America for Bulgaria Foundation has approved support of 710 initiatives for development of Bulgarian education, arts and culture, civil society and democratic institutions, cultural heritage and tourism, agriculture and private sector development and for improving the lives of the economically disadvantaged.

Among the more than 350 partner organizations the Foundation has supported throughout the country are non-governmental organizations, national and regional institutions, public and private media, social and private entrepreneurs, schools and universities, libraries, chitalishta, theaters, operas and ballets, symphony orchestras, museums and galleries.

During the conference Ms. Schiller also introduced the Foundation’s new website, us4bg.org and its mobile versions, as well as ABF’s new social media platforms.
