Bulgaria has its own dream team in…international law. Year after year, the country’s young competitors in international law prove themselves time and again on the world stage. And we have genuine reasons to be proud of them.
The final public training session of the law team at Sofia University St Kliment Ohridski was held at the university’s Mirror Hall on March 28, ahead of the world finals in the US. Anna Maria, Deborah, Valeri, Nikoleta and Bilyana are the young people who will represent Bulgaria at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. The competition, being held in Washington DC from April 9 to 16, is the biggest of its kind in the world. The competition is a simulation of a judicial debate between the countries conducted before the International Court of the United Nations.
The America for Bulgarian Foundation has supported the Bulgarian International Moot Court Competition Association and the participation of the Bulgarian team since 2010 and we are delighted that Bulgaria’s teams show constant improvement.
We hope the 58th competition will showcase our team and continue its recent tradition of matching and exceeding the competitors from world powers in law like Harvard and Yale.
