N/TRY builds a cross-cultural platform of artists and groups that share an interest in tackling contemporary realities through documentary art forms. They promote unique methods for critical reflection on current events and social and political processes by means of documentary art.
N/TRY identifies artists who make documentary art in Bulgaria, involving them in a creative network, enabling dialogue and practical exchange. The program celebrates the Red House as a meeting place for documentary art with its audience, and as a shared space for collaboration between representatives of all professional areas connected to the public domain, memory and social research. N/TRY promotes art that encourages civic initiative, empathy, and tolerance to all, making art available to everyone and relevant to the world in which we live. Art develops humanistic and democratic values, addressing the facts in their complexity and fairly stating what other public discourses fail to articulate.
N/TRY attracts young people to socially committed cultural events, enhancing their civic awareness and encouraging them to participate in the public life.
