Have you ever heard of Ellis Scope? If you’re not a teacher, it’s nothing to worry about. But if you work in the field of education and you have not heard of her, we are here to remedy this lapse.
The easiest way to describe Ellis? How about as one of the most famous “teachers of teachers” in the world. She is the Director of the “Academy for Directors” program at the Department for the Preparation of Managers at the New York’s Bank Street College of Education and is one of the world’s most recognized experts in the field of training educational professionals.
Ellis Scope is working with the team at the 18th High School in Sofia to improve communication and teamwork among teachers, and on using modern teaching and school management methods. This was made possible by ABF’s new Educational Leadership Academy which aims to provide qualification programs in Bulgaria for school directors and their teams as well as innovative training for new teachers and technology specialists.
This program is a continuation of ABF’s successful six-year experience in the training and qualification of nearly 200 Bulgarian teachers and school directors at Columbia University and Bank Street College of Education in New York.
