It’s not often you can claim 100 percent success, but in the case of Bulgaria’s Olympiads, we can! Every Bulgarian competitor returned with a medal from the first-ever European Physics Olympiad held in Tartu and Tallinn in Estonia on May 20-24. Next is the International Chemistry Olympiad to be held in Nakon Pathom, Thailand!
Since the founding of the Bulgarian Olympic Movement of Natural Sciences, our students have won a total of 694 medals – 129 gold, 233 silver and 332 bronze medals at international Olympiads in Astronomy, Biology, IT, Mathematics, Mathematical Linguistics, Physics and Chemistry.
The Olympiads of Student Knowledge open the horizon of science to Bulgarian children, who thus have the opportunity to encounter the global world.
America for Bulgaria Foundation has supported the year-round preparation, selection and participation in international Olympiads of Bulgarian science teams from 2010 until today. We also support leading Bulgarian scientists and former participants in scientific Olympiads and in 2012, we created two laboratories of physics and biology at Sofia University for the practical training of the Bulgarian teams.
