Apply Now! New RFP for Northwest Bulgaria & Danube Tourism Development

The America for Bulgaria Foundation is looking for project proposals for tourism development in Northwest Bulgaria and along the Danube River. The purpose of this request for proposals is to support the creation of tourist products and services stimulating longer stays in the region. The long-term goal of the RFP is to permanently place the Bulgarian Northwest and the communities along the Danube on the tourist map of Bulgaria as destinations offering sustainable nature and cultural heritage tourism and contribute to the development of local economies.

Applicants can apply for funding in one of three categories: up to 25,000; up to 50,000; and up to 150,000 Bulgarian levs.

The application deadline is February 10, 2024. Applications can only be submitted online at https://us4bg.org/bg/tourism-danube-northwest/.

The invitation is open to applicants from all over the country, but the proposed project activities must be carried out in the northwestern region, specifically the regions of Vratsa, Vidin, Montana, and the municipalities along the Danube River.

Legal entities registered in Bulgaria can apply, including tourist associations, owners of guest houses and family hotels, micro, small and medium-sized businesses that offer tourist products and services, natural parks, museums, community centers, non-governmental organizations, and partnerships between several NGOs.
