The America for Bulgaria Foundation, in association with the World Press Institute, is offering an exciting opportunity for an early- to mid-career Bulgarian journalist with at least five years of professional experience to take up a media fellowship in the United States in the autumn of 2025.

There has been a recent surge in media publications expressing negative opinions about the Bishop’s Basilica of Philippopolis, Prof. Elena Kantareva, director of the Ancient Plovdiv Municipal Institute, and her team. These individuals have faced unwarranted legal claims in an attempt to undermine their professional credibility and weaken their resolve.

The call for proposals aims to transform the exhibition into a modern and interactive permanent exhibition, in line with the world’s leading museum standards. This will offer visitors of different ages, nationalities, and levels of knowledge an engaging and memorable experience. The project will contribute to the promotion of the museum, its exhibitions, and the history of Bulgaria.

This RFP invites project proposals in social-impact areas such as sustainable development and environmental science from researchers, scientists, and engineers aged 18–40 with applied science backgrounds.
